New York City is just a part of the state of New York but then it is commonly mistaken as one. It is located on the Northeast portion of United States and has a humid subtropical climate. Along with Tokyo and London, New York is one of the three world economic command centers. In fact, some of the Fortune 500 Companies are situated in New York and these are: JP Morgan Chase & Co., Citigroup, Verizon Communications, Pfizer, New York Insurance, and 6 other more. With its finest assets, it can be assumed that New York is a major financial district and a destination of choice for tourists at the same time.
Everyone loves NY! From tall and elegant buildings to history & culture and even up to nature and outdoor sceneries, the so-called Empire City has it.

Five prime reasons why people visit New York are the following:

No one will dare to miss the world-renowned NYC structures such as The Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, the Grand Central Terminal, and the Rockefeller Center. Of course, when a person says, “I will see for myself The Statue of Liberty”, it automatically means that this individual will visit New York. These structures serve as the trademark of New York.

New York is also known for the Parisian-like shopping experience that tourists may get within the city. Two of the most popular shopping streets in NY are the Madison and Fifth Avenue. Both places offer huge selection of branded boutiques and designer shops. For those visitors who are quite on a tight budget, why not trying shopping in Lower Manhattan & the Financial District wherein good discounted items can be found. Tourist may also want to visit the prime commercial hub of New York which is the Times Square. This lies from West 42nd to West 4th streets of the city.

Popular events and special activities will also drive tourists to come to New York. The city boasts of its spectacular festivals and events such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village, Tribeca Film Festival, and the ever-famous New York Fashion Week.

New Yorkers have also different means of satisfying their raging tummies and this is what some travellers want to experience. Food and dining in New York can also be cheap or luxurious. There are meals below $5 and there are also these classy restaurants all around the city. Cheap meals include having lunch from NYC vendors, getting pizzas and hotdogs, eating in Chinatown, and having NY’s famous bagel and coffee for breakfast. Expensive meals can be consumed in restaurants like Masa at Broadway, Daniel in 65th street, GILT at the New York Plaza Hotel, Le Bernardin in 51st street, and more.

Finally, the city is also known for its state-of-the-art museums, which will feed the passion of tourists who are arts and technology fans. New York boasts its museums like the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, American Museum of National History, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. These museums hold historical pieces, modern collections, series of exhibits, and a glimpse of the past.

Behind the tall buildings of New York, lies a beauty of a city that is unique to the eyes of its visitors. People who visit New York often come back because of the wide variety of things to do inside the city and even in the state itself.

New York is the city where almost everyone wants to visit to at least once in their lifetime.

Nightlife in New York is simply awesome! New York City has all the nightlife you can think of to fully enjoy your night out until the wee hours of early morning. From theatres to live symphony orchestra, to opera houses and even to open air performances. Live performances of world class artists and entertainers are a nightly fare in the many and varied venues all around New York City.

It has been said that New York is the city that never sleeps. However, night life scenes are still largely in the downtown areas of New York. The New York Times Square which is home to Broadway is now enjoying a rebirth of nightlife popularity. This place has large compliments of fine dining restaurants, themed bars, clubs and cinemas that are mostly frequented by tourists all year round. The most frequented bars and clubs where you can enjoy drinking with live music till early morning are those that are located in the east Village, starting from 14th Street to Houston east of Broadway.

Other parts of New York that are now fast changing to nightlife spots are in Midtown, especially those areas located near Hell’s Kitchen. A number of classy night spots are now up and operational located on the Lower East Side near East Village at Houston and go all the way south to Chinatown. Aside from night clubs and pubs, a number of fine dining restaurants can be found along these areas. There are also several theaters and parks to while away your time.

Nightlife in New York always buzzes with so many nocturnal activities. From bars to cocktail lounges up to the most glitzy of nightclubs where celebrities abound in droves nightly to enjoy the night and to be written and photographed by expectant columnist and even broadcast journalist. Night clubs in New York caters to all sectors of the society. Even if you are just a simple factory worker if you have the cash to pay for the clubs charges and the cost of your foods and drinks, you can just as easily hobnob with the glitzy rich.

However, most night club customers would choose the clubs frequented by their own kind which is why you can tell a night club by the kind of customers they have. There are nightclubs and bars for the rich and famous and there are nightclubs and bars for the working masses and lately, nightclubs and pubs for the young at heart. These night clubs, bars and pubs are what make nightlife in New York simply awesome.
